I found the http://cave-tubing.com website and many people seem to like this. Should i try this or another excursion. It my first time doing a cruise and im clueless as to what i should do. please help me!!

What other ports are you visiting? I like to compare different options among ports. For example, are you also interested in beaches, snorkeling, or ruins? If so, you have to weigh how good those options are at each port.

Cave tubing is available only in Belize, so if you want to do it, you have to do it in Belize.

Im going on the western carribean cruise. we are going to cozmel (im doing dolphin excursion there), belize, roaton, and costa maya. We probably want to do the beaches, dolphin excursion, tubing, and maybe a ruins.

Roatan has West Bay beach, which is very nice, and Mahogany Bay beach at the terminal if you are on a Carnival ship. You could do ruins from Costa Maya or Belize. Costa Maya also has a nice beach nearby in Mahahual.

So, if you did cave tubing in Belize, you could do the beach in Roatan and the beach or ruins in Costa Maya. My family really enjoyed cave tubing. It is a unique experience and you can only do it in Belize. You can do beaches and ruins at other ports, so I think cave tubing is a good option.

Belize seems to be the place that everyone does cave tubing (since it's the only port with the cave tubing). We have done it twice now. We have used .bz each time. If you want to read my reviews (and see tons of pictures) then the links are in my signature line. Also, if you are going to any of the other ports mentioned, I have several reviews of things we did there (Roatan, Cozumel, Costa Maya). :) It may give you some ideas.

The ".bz" is common usage to differentiate it from all the other cave tubing companies. It is the company we used too.

I'm not sure what you mean by you went to my reviews but never said "the tube caving thing". The links in my signature, you click on the Belize cave tubing and it takes you right to the link for cave tubing.

There are several companies out there that are highly recommended and very reliable. There is .com (which you found) .bz, and VIV among others. They all strive on customer satisfaction. They KNOW when the ships are in port and what time they are coming and going. They always get you back in time and they always have a back up plan if something was to go wrong (like a flat tire or whatever). No worries. They always take you tubing, (and .bz feeds you at the owners house down the road from tubing) and then take you back to the port. You have plenty of time for shopping or hanging out for awhile before returning to the ship. :)

Actually for the Dream review, it doesn't take you right to it, instead it takes you to page 5 and your cave tubing review isn't until page 9. Great review though, I enjoyed reading it.

It all depends how you have your forum set up and how many post you want per page. I have mine set up to a large amount so that the most post can be on the same page instead of having to flip pages over and over. So since I know some people don't change their settings, this is why I link the review and beside that review I have the post # that pertains to the review (post 179-223) so it's as simple as finding the post that starts at 179...which will depend on your personal settings as to what page it's on. ;)

ok, I like the penny slot machines! haha. I will be on the carnival dream going out on 9/28. Im guessing just make sure we take small bills for the casino? I never have played slot machines so im thinking about just finding random machines and playing them hoping that I win big!

Just remember that even though it's a penny, you are betting on the amount of lines. So it could be a penny machine, but the lowest amount of lines you can play may be 30 lines. So, it actually cost you .30 cents each spin. ;)

We just got off the Dream in May and I found my favorite slots.

I normally like to play Cave King. It has great bonus rounds and extra spins (which is always the games that I like to go for). It's also a video type game and lots of sounds and movements.

It has treated me extremely well on all previous cruises. However, this one was not as nice as previous cruises. :( Darn. But it's still fun. It's one of the games that is a multi-player game and it's usually set to play on "Sirens". You have to hit the "other games" button on the screen and it will come up with 4 different games to play. Cave King is one of them. It's located on the non-smoking side along the back wall.

My new game that I found this time around that is very similar to Cave King is called Kossack Kash. It has the same sounds as the Cave King, but it would keep me playing for hours. I ended up winning pretty good here and there on that one. I would definitley say that I won more than lost. It's also on a multi player game slot like the above and you have to look for it. It is located on the smoking side and right beside the card tables.

Now, if you really wanna win (hehe), every single time I got on the next game, I won. Every time anyone else was on the game, they always seem to walk away with more than double what they started with. We all talked about it during the cruise. It kinda looked like an OLDER game and it didn't seem too interesting (compared to the other very vibrant games I usually play), but it would get a lot more interesting when you kept winning and the sounds are hilarious.

It's called Invaders from the planet moolah. It's not the kind of "reel spin", it's more of a "drop in" spin. But the sounds are hilarious!!! A lot of mooing. It will keep you laughing for sure.

Other than that, I played games here and there and didn't do too well on them. My daughter was playing some kind of lucky 7's game and she did really well and I got to know the "regular" that sat directly behind me while I was playing the Kosack game and she liked the game as well. If someone was on it, she would patiently wait for it. LOL

Whatever you do, go have fun, win big, and watch out because it can be addicting. :D

nice! i will write down this info so i can go straight to these games when i get to the casino. Im so excited!! when i start playing and if i hear some kind of bell or winning bell then i might jump up and down. knowing me i will win like a few dollars and think i won a few hundred!! haha.

i probably have several other questions but i will most likely go to a customer service desk or whatever and bother them a lot :)

  • 3 weeks later...

We just got back from cavetubing with .bz and I wanted to report we had a great time. DD is 7 years old and she did great. There are no mesh bottoms with bz. Adult tubes had the headrest, however, DD7 tube did not. SHe could have tubed with us or on her in her own tube. She tubed in her own. She did wear a vest the entire time. It was very safe and she loved it. The water was calm and cool.

She had no problem with the hiking. The guide carried her tube. THe adults carried their own tubes. She got a little tired, but we would stop and the guide we show us some intresting "nature" things and back to walking she went. Make sure to have thick sole water shoes. This was advice I was given and I'm glad I listened. It made the walking easier.

Great excursion for kids and family. Any questions just ask. Oh ...the food afterwards was great. And its true...Ask for more rum punch if you want. We asked for more rice and beans...no problem.

Oh I will add that the ride to get there is long.....but worth it.

awesome. thank you so much for helping out! did they allow you to get back to the ship in time??

We made it back in good time, however the earlier you tender off the better off you are. We were priority and got off early and had a good start but the drive to tubing does take some time. We got back about 1 hour before the last tender and the line to tender was VERY LONG!

interesting. Well i hope that they dont leave us behind.... i will have to shout out on the ride to the cave tubing that if they get us back before the ship sails then i will tip them $20! haha

They always get you back in time, with time to spare in the port. That's how they stay in business. ;) They know what times the ships are in port and what time they are leaving, plus what time cruisers need to be back in time to tender. They keep track of everything. If they had passengers not getting back in time, they definitely wouldn't be in business very long.

We have toured with Nacho and Cynthia from NCQ adventures 3 times and have had wonderful experiences. Did cave tubing, zip lining, ruins and howler monkeys and all have been amazing. Have a great lunch set up which is delicious. Cynthia and Nacho are so personable and down to earth. Check out their website and tours.
