simo Posted July 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2013 Our family of 6 (2 adults, kids ages 4-14) will be in Galveston for the first time in January. Flying into IAH a day early for the cruise and leaving the same day as we get back into port. We are looking at transfers through one of the companies recommended on these boards - possibly Galveston Limousine or aggielimousine. Is renting a car (if even for a week and leaving it there) even an option? The cheapest transfers we've found so far are $300 total. 2nd question, for the pre-cruise stay, we either need 2 hotel rooms (or a suite type room big enough to accommodate 6) or a bed & breakfast or vrbo type stay. Any recommendations? We tried Avenue O (recommended on these boards) but they require 2 nights. Thanks in advance for any help.

For January off season and possibly cold weather try moody gardens hotel With indoor moody gardens family entertainment complex next door it should work well for you and is an enjoyable place for adults and kids!
