What is: Priority Check-in & Private Departure Lounge With Continental Breakfast?

Recommended Posts

As a new Platinum, I have never experienced theses perks, "Priority Check-in and Private Departure Lounge With Continental Breakfast." Will be departing on an upcoming cruise out of Copenhagen on Vision Of The Seas. Anyone know if Copenhagen even offers these perks? If so, what can I expect?

In general, what is the "Priority Check-in" all about? Does this enable for pre-boarding, or simply a separate check-in queue?

Also, in general, is the "Private Departure Lounge With Continental Breakfast," if offered, simply a place to hang out until boarding begins? I am assuming this is during embarkation, and not debarkation?

Also, how do they know I am a Platinum and permitted entry so that I can use the Priority Check-in and departure lounge, if available?

Anyhow, as a newbie Platinum, I appreciate any information as to what I should be looking for, or to expect and how to maximize this benefit. Thank you for all your help and information, much appreciated.

Priority check-in is a separate queue for check-in.

Private departure lounge is for when you are leaving the ship at the end of your cruise. They will have a venue set aside for Platinum and above with coffee and pastries for you to wait until your number is called to leave the ship. There will be a letter in your stateroom describing this benefit.

Just returned from a b2b on Vision.

When you enter the terminal, after going though port security and x-ray, you will be directed to the proper line for checking-in. The port rep will check your SetSail Pass and direct you to the proper check-in line. If you arrive prior to the start of embarkation, then you will be seated in a specific area determined by C&A level or if you are in a suite.

If you arrive after embarkation has begun, then you will check-in and proceed directly onto the ship.

For debarkation morning, there is a special lounge for Platinum and above C&A Members where you are welcomed to wait until your number is called. Here there will be coffee, juice and pastries to enjoy while you wait.

I must say embarkation at the Port of Copenhagen was run very efficiently and quickly.

Enjoy your cruise on Vision.
