On the Oasis, we were able to sign our waiver for things like the Flowrider, rock wall, and zip line. Check to see if you can do that on FOS. Will save a little time.

We are on the western one.. And we have an ocean view room. One day I'd like

to try a balcony but its just not in the budget this year

Watch for price drops. (I check a couple of times a day.) You might be able to upgrade for no cost at all. Wouldn't that be nice?:)

I keep checking but so far it looks like I got too good of a deal :) my ocean view is 150 less than its going for now. That's good but I was hoping it would go down so I could get a bump to a balcony... A girl can dream :)

On most ships it's still an actual paper booklet. Royal is rolling out electronic coupons that are stored on your onboard account. Freedom has electronic coupons, but I'm not sure about other ships. Once difference between what I posted and the electronic version is that there are no match play casino coupons.

If it were me, I wouldn't skip a night in the MDR - I honestly think you will be able to do both very easily!

 

We plan to (1) inform the waiter we would like to be out in time and (2) if the time is too tight, we will excuse ourselves during dessert. If we want something sweet, we can enjoy the goodies at Café Promenade. Love that place!

You might want to purchase a "future cruise" or "next cruise" certificate. Not sure what it is called now, but it will benefit you when you sign up for your next cruise. The Oasis or the Allure, perhaps?

I have never done that. You get OBC when you do that I think?? Not a bad idea...

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the solarium hot tubs yet! My favorite feature of Freedom! It has been almost 4 years, but I can still remember relaxing while overlooking the sea :) Also, I enjoyed sunbathing on the aft deck behind the flo-rider, nice to watch the wake and less windy than forward sunbathing.

Just off the FOS Western Cruise (8/4-8/11).

 

One thing you do NOT want to miss is the 70's "Dancing in the Streets" Disco Party in the Royal Promenade on Friday evening. It was really fun! And to think, LOL, I didn't want to go and stumbled into it just as it was starting...

 

Also, if you like Trivia, check out the nightly music trivia contests in the Schooner Lounge. Hopefully, "Fritz From Philly" will be handing them. He is an awesome entertainer- he was our favorite crew member the whole week.

I've seen pictures of the hot tub overlooking the sea, that does look awesome!!and that's a good tip on the sunbathing!!

I have heard the 70s dance party is great. Like you, I usually pass on stuff like that but I think I'm gonna go see it..
