Is this schedule doable for St. Thomas?

We will be on the Oasis and planning to book an excursion with the ship to swim with Turtle on Buck Island (ST97). The tour start at 10am and should be done by 2pm. Then I wanted to take a taxi to Sapphire's beach or go downtown shopping. How far is the dock to Sapphire's Beach or to downtown? Our ship dock from 10am to 7pm.

Sapphire Beach is beautiful. It is not that far from the ports and well worth going to. You should be able to spend at least 2 hours there after the excursion.

 

Most shops close around 5 or 5:30--Personally, I would skip the shopping.
