first time question

We will be arriving in Tahiti at 5am, going to day room at IHC prior to boarding around 3. All arrangements thru PG. Will we have our luggage with us all day, or is it taken directly to the boat? Trying to figure out if I need to pack a "day bag" for the hotel.

 

Also, easiest place to get some local money from an ATM right off the bat? Near the hotel, at the airport prior to the hotel?

 

Anyone done a recent trip on Air Tahiti that was still using the non-refurbished planes? Lots of info online about the first plane being complete, but silence after that..

You will have your bags with you.

 

ATM machine at airport. Go to the right when you come out of customs. About 150 feet just along the roadway.

 

I always manage to get 5 hours sleep on the red eye.

We came back on Saturday. Both ways non refurbished planes, one was Bora Bora and other Rangiroa. There is also Currency Exchange right behind the security at LA airport.

We had refurbished planes both ways back in June. I think at that time 2 of the planes were redone. 24 hours before we took off, I was able to confirm with the Air Tahiti Nui phone agent that we had the new plane configuration. Check flyertalk dot com, there is an ongoing thread about the rollout of the new config.
