kba1988 Posted August 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Sure hope this isn't a "dumb" question....but we're sailing the Breakaway out of NY in a few weeks. Does anyone know if the TV's in the minisuite have HDMI connections, or perhaps AV/OUT(IN) connections? We often travel with a mini dvd player and would love to hook it up to the TV for viewing our favorite DVD's whenever we want. We do it often when we travel to land-based hotels....so I was wondering about our "sea-hotel". Just need to make sure we pack the right connectors. :D:D
garycarla Posted August 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Actually, you need the answer to two questions. 1 - connection available. and 2 - Can you use it? I would put good money it has an HDMI and other connections. But, as we have found in some hotels and for sure on our recent DAWN cruise, access to the menu or buttons to change from regular TV to something else was blocked. bguppies Posted August 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Usually when the TVs are installed on cruise ships, the remote and the TV itself have the ability to switch to an alternate input, locked out..(usually most menu functions get locked out) So yes, the TV will have the usual connections, but no, you won't be able to switch the TV to use that input. frediver Posted August 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2013 Our cabin had them on the Dawn. Locked or not I can't say but they were within reach.
