Money for Quebec City taxi?

I am planning on taking a taxi to the cruise ship terminal from the airport - was wondering if I needed Canadian money or will the taxi take US money?

Would a taxi in Ohio take Canadian money??? Having said that, the chances are good that the taxis in Quebec will take USD, however you will get a really bad exchange rate and any change will be in CDN. They most likely will also take Visa or MasterCard if you don't want to get some CDN $.

There is an ATM on the ground level, international arrivals. Easy to get some CAD for the taxi and for other purchases.

No, b/c there aren't a lot of Canadian tourists in the Buckeye State. The Canadian dollars acceptance rate goes way up in places like Bellingham, WA, where Vancouver shoppers contribute hugely to local economy. I am guessing there are more than a few Americans disembark in Quebec during cruise season. It's simple supply and demand, not a superiority of currency issue.:)

Well since being from Ohio and living close to Canada i have been up north a few times and have actually had some places take US dollars...
