vadim77777 Posted August 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2013 We have 9 credits on Celebrity now and sailing on Millenium next month. Will the 10th cruise give us Elite status or it starts on 11th sailing?

gimletgal Posted August 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2013 We have 9 credits on Celebrity now and sailing on Millenium next month. Will the 10th cruise give us Elite status or it starts on 11th sailing? Once you garner your 10th credit you will become Elite. If you get that 10th credit on the Millie next month, then you would be Elite on your next cruise. Status is gained by credits, not # of cruises: Sailing w/Celebrity = 1 credit Sailing 12 nights or more, including cruisetours = 1 credit Sailing CC, AQ or Suite = 1 credit Max per cruise = 3 credits You will have something to look forward to! The Elite perks are great!! :)
vadim77777 Posted August 13, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted August 13, 2013 The description of Select level on the website shows 5-9 tier credits which leads me to believe that the Elite level should start on the 10th. Am I wrong?
TomTN Posted August 13, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2013 The description of Select level on the website shows 5-9 tier credits which leads me to believe that the Elite level should start on the 10th. Am I wrong? Correct. You will earn that credit at the end of your next crusie with X.
gimletgal Posted August 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2013 The description of Select level on the website shows 5-9 tier credits which leads me to believe that the Elite level should start on the 10th. Am I wrong? But you have to EARN that 10th credit first! So AFTER your Millie cruise, you will then have 10 credits and will qualify for Elite. Classic (After your 1st earned tier credit) Select (5-9 tier credits) Elite (After 10 earned tier credits)
alliebrandy Posted August 13, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2013 The description of Select level on the website shows 5-9 tier credits which leads me to believe that the Elite level should start on the 10th. Am I wrong? It still goes by the number of credits earned (entitled to) per completed cruise. So as gimletgal indicated: Status is gained by credits, not # of cruises: Sailing w/Celebrity = 1 credit Sailing 12 nights or more, including cruisetours = 1 credit Sailing CC, AQ or Suite = 1 credit Max per cruise = 3 credits Now when you go online with Celebrity and click on "My Celebrity" you will see what your level is at the moment. If it states that you are "Select" then that is what you will be when you make your next sailing. Once that sailing is completed, Celebrity will add the number of credits you earned for that sailing to your bank and you will then be awarded your next level. I hope this helps in understanding. mferranti Posted August 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Just as you do not receive Classic member benefits until you embark on your 2nd cruise, you do not receive Elite member benefits until you embark on your 11th. (Ignoring extra point-earning opportunities for simplicity.)
Shake Posted August 13, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 13, 2013 But once you get to Elite the perks included are great.
