Maui Princess to Molokai

Has anyone used this operator?

 

They offer a ferry/car deal that takes you over to Molokai and provides you with a compact car to explore the island. I've seen the island from a distance before but never up close.

 

Would this be a good activity to consider?

We did this when we did a land vacation to Hawaii a few years back. It was okay. Basically we got the car and just drove around the island. Not much else to do. Saw the former leper colony and a lot of great scenery. I think there was also a beach where you could snorkel, but with the limited time, you can only do so much. As I recall, we had to be back on board by 2:30. The best part was the boat ride home through some of the open ocean. The ride out was fairly smooth, but coming back to Maui - Holy cr*p! :eek: Talk about a roller coaster. Definitely take your sea sickness meds.
