price drops

just wondering if anyone in Ireland has availed of price drops on rcl ships. just noticed our cabin price has droppedby approx. €200 . not looking for refund but maybe upgrade.

Does anyone know if RCI still offer a "price promise", which recompenses the difference, subject to conditions?

We had an RCI price-promise honoured a few years ago, though nowadays we tend to book late.

 

Some UK travel agents (mainly cruise specialists) operated the price-promise & some didn't. Reductions or refunds weren't automatically applied, you had to keep your eye on prices & ask for them.

 

Well worth mentioning it to your T/A, though I may be out-of-date.

we had a price drop with Celebrity a couple of years ago. the price dropped after we had paid so they sent us a cheque approx 6 weeks after my TA informed them of the price drop. mind you it was me who kept an eye on the price and informed my TA of the price drop. I would have been happy with the money being paid as OBC.
