Bon voyage cakes any good?

I want to get my husband a chocolate cake for his birthday on our trip. Are they any good? I am worried it is going to be dry.

I have ordered both chocolate and vanilla and neither were dry. As much as I like chocolate, I preferred the vanilla one, I believe it had strawberry filling.

That whipped frosting is to die for.........

However, it needs to be eaten ASAP......it will mold quickly if left out.....

Figured that out both times we ordered it.......

Hard to eat it with all the other food..............

We got the chocolate, and though there were issues getting it delivered correctly, it was delicious. The biggest problem was that we ate so much everywhere else, that we were to full to really enjoy it.

The cakes are great. I always order one. I really like the vanilla/strawberry one. my brother likes the chocolate. ours lasted the entire 7 day cruise..never went bad.

We always get the chocolate one for our cabin at embarkation. It's very yummy!

We have only had the vanilla cake and it was very tasty, not dry at all. We are planning on getting it again but this time earlier in the cruise cause we didn't finish it last time when we had it late in the cruise

This is what we found out last cruise was well. I was so disappointed because I was looking forward to it. But we just didn't eat them because of the other food on the ship. I did eat a little bit of the chocolate one and it was very good.

We ordered one on our last cruise and were pleasantly surprised at how moist it was, and how long it stayed fresh (about three days). The only mistake we made was ordering the larger one for two people. We threw away almost half of it because, as others have said, we were usually too full from the other food on board to eat much of it. We'll get another, but will it will be the smaller one this time.
