wannacruisemore Posted July 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2005 I am so jealous!!!!! We got off the Conquest May 1st. What a enjoyable cruise. Sushi is great, it opened at 5ish on the casino deck. It was never crowded. Only downside that our group came up with the music was way too loud around the pool. Minor detail though. Happy Cruisin:)
BettyB2 Posted July 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 3, 2005 Sushi was nice every night before dinner and they were usually open at 5pm until 8ish. The casino had "Let it Ride" (which had an optional bonus on the table for $5 which you could use your cards as a 3-card poker hand). They also had "3-Card Poker" and (of course) had "Caribbean Poker". We played Let it Ride most of the time and found it quite entertaining and somewhat profitable as it was like being at 2 tables (3-card and let it ride). Our 3-card hands consisted of 4 straight flushes during the week which netted around $800.... We ended up around $200 ahead for the week...which is GREAT for 2 people! Have a great cruise, I am so jelous
hlsess Posted July 3, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 3, 2005 Did anyone win on the slots?
BettyB2 Posted July 3, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 3, 2005 I saw people win at slots and met some folks at the tables that said their spouses were doing well at the slot machines. A few of our group of $38 did pretty good on the machines, but I personally played them 2-3 times as there were no openings at my favorite table and LOST! they were not good to me, but they were fun! shipoman Posted July 3, 2005 #7 Share Posted July 3, 2005 :( No Texas Hold'Em. I emailed the casino host and there isn't a time table for more/different poker games. This is an interesting link about gambling aboard: http://www.oceanplayersclub.com/default_flash.asp
daveandmisty Posted August 25, 2005 #8 Share Posted August 25, 2005 This will be my first cruise on the conquest, however i am very familar with casinos. It has been my experiance if you want to play poker you do not need a card room just people to play. I would suggest getting chips from the casino $1 and $5 to have a game somewhere on the ship. 1-2 no limit makes a great game that anyone can get into. Cap buyins at $200 to keep someone from buying into the big stack. Maybe this does not work on cruise ships but i have had no problems playing suck games in casino resturants if those places did not have a poker room. The sushi is every evening on level 5 just by the Disco and Arcade. Walked by it everynight. I won like crazy on the slots, not 1000's but 100's it was SOOOO much fun. Play the blazing 7's and triple diamonds (25 cent) Didnt have any luck on $'s also jackpot party nickle machines were very entertaining (if you can get on one they were VERY busy) GOOD LUCK!!! Go see Duane in the Piano Bar ask to hear his sisters song!! FUNNY!
