xmas cruise question?

And on a positive note, our Christmas cruise in 2012 was made even more special by the presence of children.

On Christmas Day, the children were so happy it was contagious!

For the record, we are childless by choice and I am so not a fan of bratty kids.

Priya yep, although the tours were operating but this was one place that we did not book. My hubby found some traders but nit much else. Port shops were open but I ended up back on ship to make most of it being quiet :D

Holidays are when Familys get together, no way around it if that is when you have your time away from work.

Thanksgiving on the Century and thru Christmas Eve on the old Horizon some years back and had no 'situations' arise:rolleyes: Went on the Ruby Princess last yr between Thanksgiving/Christmas and there were more 'scooters' than kids:D All the ships were decked out to the nines! Very nice.

Cruise ship decorations are actually done by an onshore company. Decorations are not stored onboard. The decorations come down right after New Year's or the night before you dock for leaving the ship. If you are sailing on the 2nd, there wil be no decorations up when you board. We have sailed right after New Years to take advantage of the low prices. There were few kids on board.

We were on the Constellation several years ago that left on Jan 2 and there were still decorations up. They came down gradually over the course of the cruise. On our Equinox cruise that left Dec 1 the stuff went up gradually including the gingerbread village in the atrium.

We have been on a lot of Christmas cruises on Celebrity. And, Goofy was definitely on board. In fact, a few of them. :D
