FOS Character dining with reservations....is seating assigned ahead?

We have reservations for the Character Breakfast on the FOS. We are traveling with two other families who also have reservations. I would like to know how the seating is handled.........if we are all together upon entering the dinning room can we request being seated together? Or is the seating assigned ahead of time? Thank you. :)

Every time we've done it they have it setup like Dining Room Lunch. Just show up all together with who you want to sit with and you'll all be sat together.

When I booked this online I booked my parents with us by entering their reservation number. Can you still link them?

Breakfast and lunch are "open" seating...whoever you show up with, will be seated together.
