Camp Carnival on the Splendor ??????

We're going on the Splendor in May 2014 with another couple. We have two kids ages 6 & 8 and they have one child, age 10. I know my kids will be together in camp, but it doesn't look like the 10 yr. old will be in their group. She's a very shy 10 yr. old and may not want to go (the first day anyway) unless she can be with her younger friends. Supposedly Carnival has a strict policy on age grouping and will not put the 10 yr. old with the younger kids. Has anyone had any experience with the Camp Counselors bending the rules?? Thanks!! ;)

Even though they are in separate age groups (6-8) and (9-11), they do do some activities together. My daughter is 9 and she told me at some times they were with the younger kids. Also, the rooms are connecting. I think the course lots are great on this ship and they might bend the rules. Can't hurt to ask. We left on 8/21 and my son was turning 12 on 8/26 and they allowed him to start off in Circle C instead of starting in Camp Carnival and switching half way through.

So glad to hear that you are enjoying the review. I haven't gotten too many responses, so I wasn't sure. It's my first review. I enjoy everyone elses so much. Not sure if you have read it, but there is another man on here that sailed the week before I did and his review is excellent - I think the title is Splendid Splendor Review. You will have fun. I'm trying to talk my husband into going on another cruise in January, for our anniversary, but he's not budging on that one :) Guess I shall have to wait until next August.
