cute commercial. one thing i notice when they gave a statistic about training. it said 765,000 hours for 111,000 participant. that's about 7 hours per employee. not very much.

It does not say what is unique at all :)

 

Costa has suffered a few mishaps with the Concordia tragedy on top of that.

 

What they need to do now is to jump out of their pants to restore their reputation.

 

What I would do: from now on - NeoCosta!

 

What can make Costa unique?

Start with dining options and food quality.

Start to serve Italian food on a cruise ship - that's will be a unique thing.

Let their culinary art soar!

 

Costa is among a few cruise lines that improve their ship design.

This not unique but a relatively rare thing. Why not even a word about it?

 

Make Costa ships even better: instead of selling cabins for nothing invent something wow! that will take up space of 20-30 cabins.

 

Their standard cabins are possibly the most spacious (Destiny class ships. Diadema - ?).

 

Spa is a strong point of Costa. Make it more sophisticated.

 

Invest in more professional production shows.

Those are really good ideas! And they work with things that already exist (with the possible exception of the food, which you don't like and I do, but we will have to agree to disagree on that one. :)). You're right - they should market their existing strong points, and work on strengthening their weak points.
