AJY46 Posted July 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2005 I want to book tickets from Hamburg to Berlin, returing on the same day as our ship is in Hamburg for 24 hours. The cheapest fares are the Sparpreis 50 and I am given the choice of this on the reservation page. However the booking conditions say that this price is only availble if we stay overnight. Has anyone used this tariff for the same day journey?
Artemis Posted July 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2005 http://www.bahn.de/-S:PtVOZ9:d54jmNNNTiu7ztNNNNtM/p/view/international/englisch/travelservice/price_plan_in_advance.shtml It may not be responsive to your question...but it indicates to me that perhaps the 25% reduction is the max Sparpreis ticket available for your trip vs. the Sparpreis 50. Globaliser Posted July 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2005 Just a quick thought: Do you really want to waste your Hamburg day by going to Berlin? Hamburg is a wonderful, beautiful, historic and wealthy port city that's well worth spending many days in. From where you are, you could fly to Berlin on a low-fare airline pretty much any time.
