Dorset Cruiser Posted September 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2013 Is it likely that Caribbean Princess will offer a debarkation excursion when we get back to New York on our New England cruise on 5 October this year? We have an evening flight from Newark. Have noticed an excursion offered in the general port excursions which are not specific for our cruise but nothing is mentioned in the excursions on our cruise personaliser. Anyone know? san diego sue Posted September 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2013 We sailed on that cruise last October. The tours and drop off at airport are offered once you are on the ship.Loved the tour of the city and had a fabulous tour guide. We took the tour with dropoff at JFK. This is perfect for late flight departures. Sad thing was it was the day before the hurricane hit NY. Everything was so calm that day and the sun was shining. The city was alive with people. Pam in CA Posted September 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2013 Yes. There will be excursions offered once you're onboard. We took one that was a tour of the city, stopping at Rockefeller Center for photo shoot, World Trade Center site for about half an hour, and then about an hour and a half at the South Street Seaport for lunch, shopping, etc. before heading to JFK. The city tour went as far north as Lincoln Center and Central Park, down Broadway, along the West Side Hwy to Battery Park and Wall Street, and on the way to JFK past the UN. Stevesan Posted September 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2013 NYC tours are listed with full descriptions in the "Find A Cruise" section. http://www.princess.com/find/cruiseDetails.do?voyageCode=B330&itinCode=NNR070&tourCode=&trade=N&date=0913&noOfPax=1&resType=C&ship=CB&bID=PCDIR&meta=M&ppax=false&itinPort=&tourIds=&duration=&tourdur=&orderBy=&filterBy=&order=#exlistforvoyage.do?&ppax=false&noOfPax=1&meta=I Select "Ports & Excursions". Are you sure they're not listed in Cruise Personalizer?
Rare Lady Arwen Posted September 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 12, 2013 Great info! We'll be on the Royal next October doing the Canada/New England Itinerary out of New York and we'd love to do a tour before heading home to Toronto.

Are you sure they're not listed in Cruise Personalizer? Positive it is not in the excursions listed for our cruise but I did fnd it in the general port excurions section. Our pre-cruise hotel (Milennium Hilton) is right next to Ground Zero and we will visit it pre- cruise and as much more of New York as we can fit in in two days but we would not worry about revisiting sites again on a post-cruise excursion. Much preferable to a day sitting in Newark Airport :D
