Carnival Inspiration Oceanview Guarantee

I want to sail on the Inspiration on 3 September. I was going to buy the lowest oceanview deck option, Riviera, but now I am thinking to buy the oceanview stateroom guarantee for $60 more total and take a chance to get an upgrade. Worse case, I end up staying on the Riviera, right? Location within the ship is not important if I am on the bottom anyways so I think it's worth the gamble. Any comments on this strategy before I buy the tickets tonight?

As long as you are aware that you could end up in a noisy location, or similar problem spot then I say go for it. I wouldn't count on an upgrade, never count on an upgrade.
