Hi, we are off on our first P&O Caribbean Cruise on 30 November from Barbados and was wondering what is the best currency to take for going ashore in the different islands (am presuming it will be US$) also any tips on visiting the islands would be greatly appreciated. Have been to Barbados so know about the taxi buses and have also visited St Martean. Thank you.:)

Are accepted everywhere in the Carribbean that I have ever been and thats most places including Cuba. Do however take smaller bills ashore with you as a vendor might not have change for a larger bill or they might try and give you back local currancy as change and other than spending it where you are that particular day will frankly be useless to you when you return to the ship other than as a souvineer.
