Port or Starboard at specific ports

My DH books balconies as he love to watch as the ship pulls into port. We assumed that if we were on the port side this would happen every time (it did on our first trip, but sadly not our second one). Is there a list somewhere that suggests which side a boat will use to dock?

It is completely random depending on the ship and the port. I have found that watching the departure from above the Bridge is always the best place (not my balcony).

Liberty Eastern:

HMC- Tender

St Thomas- Docked Starboard

San Juan - Docked Port

Gran Turk - Docked Starboard

This could change as there were more than one ship in the ports with the exceptioin of HMC.

Inspiration-

Cozumel - Downtown dock -- docked to port

Progreso - Docked to Starboard

Legend -

Belize - tender port

Isla Roatan - docked to port

Cozumel - docked to starboard

Grand Cayman - missed to a storm but it is a tender port.

:)

As you can see it can go either way, it just depends on how many ships are in port or wheather the ship backs in or pulls in.

Have fun.
