SnowshoeCat Posted September 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2013 If I decide to drive to Bayonne, I'd like to try to miss the congestion when the arriving passengers are mixing with the departing passengers. Is this really a problem, or is it managed reasonably well? I'm looking at a 4 1/2 hour drive on a Saturday morning. I'd like to get there early enough to enjoy the ship (i.e lunch!) but not so late that I would be rushed. I could also fly to EWR first thing and arrive at 7:30 am (early enough that I can jump in the car and drive if there's a problem with the flight). cruiserking Posted September 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2013 Boarding typically starts at 11:30 am. So if you get there at around 10:30 or 11 am you will beat the crowds. The first to board are Diamond and Suite passengers then everyone else. By noon it starts to get very crowded so get there early and enjoy a nice lunch at the Windjammer.
