Cigarettes in the duty free shop on Breakaway

Does anyone know what the 'allotted amount' is? I purchased 5 cartons on our last cruise, and I was thinking of doubleing or tripeling that on our next cruise. We noted the 5 cartons on our customs form, but that didn't trigger any fees when we returned to the US. I'm guessing there must be some threshold?

It's 1 carton per person UNLESS you have a port call in the USVI...then it's 5 cartons pp. ;)

I found Salem Silver 100's in Fort Lauderdale and Miami for about $50 a carton - half of New York prices. In St Thomas there are several stores away from the port that had everything (except my Salem Silver 100's) and I think they were four cartons for $100. I brought back five cartons of Newports for my nephews for their Xmas gift and they made me mad because they sold them to their friends for $8 a pack! Now I just go to the reservation and pay $20 a carton for Senecas. NY prices are outrageous on name brands.

Never heard of Salem Silver 100's how do they compare to the Gold? I agree NY prices are CRAZY!! :mad:

Why not use your vacation as an opportunity to QUIT smoking? You'll have plenty of things to do to keep you occupied, and good food to eat.

 

 

lol vacation is the best time to smoke for smokers.... especially in casino, when your relaxing, and after eating all the good food LOL :D ... I AM TRYING TO QUIT THOUGH but doesnt look like it will happen before my next cruise in 9 days
