tx121 Posted September 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2013 Recent reviews on the Breakaway seem to be turning positive and less complaining about the crowds! Looking forward to my cruise in October! I guess the number of passengers decreases dramatically and the Breakaway is a perfect size for that amount of people! :)
mrwilliamt Posted September 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2013 I hope that's true. I am sailing a week from tomorrow, and my biggest concern seems to be that I won't find a lounger near the pool *lol*. And as much as I love children, I have three myself, I hope they stay in school and daycare in two weeks and not join their parents on a vacation to Bermuda. You should be in luck, on our sailing on the 8th we only had 300 under 21. I still could not believe the amount of teenagers who were missing the first week of school

Albo8888 Posted September 28, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2013 On my sailing which was the week of the 8th as well..... We had no issues finding a lounger by the pool.... It really is, IMO, a great ship. We had a fantastic time. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

I am not taking the Vibe, maybe the spa~~getting so excited~~one week from Sunday!:) We are going to opt not to make a mad dash for Vibe tickets. Maybe if it wasn't October and the air temp was warmer, but def not now. 7 days and counting. My suitcase has been packed for a month, lol. setsail1975 Posted September 28, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2013 We are cruising in Oct too on the Breakaway. I do not want to scare you, but NCL was offering the " Kids Sail Free Promo" for a lot of Oct sailings. That's why my family & friends chose this month on the Breakaway, in addition to my our work schedules. Combined we will be pulling 6 kids out of school that week. setsail1975 Posted September 28, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2013 Oct 27th... Bahamas/Florida.But it was for most sailings I believe on Oct when the promo ran. We have done Bermuda before with our kids they found it too boring. Hopefully your week will be fine:) Enjoy!
SissasMomE Posted September 28, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2013 You should be in luck, on our sailing on the 8th we only had 300 under 21. I still could not believe the amount of teenagers who were missing the first week of school We did that one year - allowed DD to miss the first week of school for a cruise. She wasn't a teen yet, though. I think she was 9. I'm not so sure I'd do that as a teen, but hey - to each their own. I was going to book a cruise presidents week so she can get one more in before she turns 18 and can't go in the kids' club anymore, but she said no to missing 3 days of school. Can't really blame her. Jr and Sr years are tough in high school!
