Norwegian Gem New England Cruise Decks

Hi,

We have about decided to take the New England/Canada cruise on the Norwegian Gem in the Fall of 2014.

It looks like it would be better to have a cabin on the right side (starboard) of the ship but maybe that doesn't make any difference.

My real question is about deck selection. In categories OA and OB there are cabins available on Deck 5 midship or on Deck 8 both fore and aft. Does anyone have any advise about which deck would be better?

Thanks,

Hello GreatestOldiesDJ,

You definitely want to book those mid-ship cabins on Deck 5. When you are fore or aft you tend to feel a lot more motion, think of a see-saw rising and falling.

Mid-Ship is the most stable, not to mention the lower decks also more beneficial for a smooth ride than higher up.
