7. Bavarois...spinach, green peas, warm turnip & apple juice
8. Shrimp parmesan...with carrots, fava & condensed beets...this was the fish course for the others, who enjoyed salmon.
9. Wagyu...slow stewed short ribs, potato pebbles, pumpkin fudge, tomato dust
10. Chocolate “88F”...aerated pistachio & mango cake w/ mascarpone cream, guava and carmelized pralines

There were name cards on the tables as well as scrolls. We were told not to open the scrolls until afterward. I knew beforehand what they were. We each got a menu of the dinner.

The wine glasses were kept filled throughout.

There was a demonstration of how the WCMC is made, with one volunteer helping to make a batch of them.

Later we had the ship's magician (apparently our ship had one) stop by and do card tricks. And before you scoff at that, let me say we were pretty much all left speechless. At one point he had Hunny pick a card, had her write her name on it and put it back in the deck. After shuffling the deck, he began turning cards over, as if looking for her card. One of the other diners told her to look up...the card was sticking out of his pocket. I think that's where it was...it may have been somewhere else, I don't remember...I'm old. But it was nowhere near where she put it.

A group picture was taken earlier in the meal and was given to us before we left.

For those who don't know, the cost is $75 per person. This is limited to 12 diners. If there is demand, they open up a second table to accommodate. If there is not enough demand, they don't have it at all. The cost includes the meal and unlimited wine. Since ours was held in the kitchen itself, we were advised to wear closed-toe shoes. For dress, a decent collared shirt is fine for gentlemen and a decent dress or top/slacks was quite appropriate for ladies. Oh, and allow 3 hours for the experience. WTH??? THREE HOURS FOR DINNER????? Really, It doesn't seem like it at all.

Love the review. Do you happen remember how much the Chef's Table was? We are sailing on the Dream in a few weeks. We plan to do the steak house, but I was also thinking of doing the Chef's table. We loved it on the Elation a few years ago.

Sorry, can't help with this one. We were never out there in the evenings. But I would have to guess that they weren't selling them. Most likely what they may have done would have been to note your S&S card number and charge you for it if you didn't return it. Perhaps someone else may know for sure and help us with this?
