MegaBus – anyone every tried this?

I have a cousin that would like to travel via MegaBus in to NYC (New York, NY, 34th St between 11th Ave and 12th Ave) and then take a taxi or transport from there to the port in Bayonne. Has anyone ever tried this? It is an all night bus trip from Pittsburgh to NYC arriving at 7:30am so they should have time to get to the port. I was wondering how difficult it will be to find a taxi for 4 with luggage…
