Cairnmom Posted October 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2013 Considering the Xcaret excursion offered through Carnival but was concerned about how much time we would actually have at the park. Ship is in port from 9-5pm and the excursion is listed as 7 hours. When you factor in the ferry ride and bus both ways, how much time is left to enjoy the park? Stevesan Posted October 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2013 Princess' shorex schedule travel time to and from Xcaret totals 3 hours.
Cairnmom Posted October 3, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted October 3, 2013 Princess' shorex schedule travel time to and from Xcaret totals 3 hours. Thanks. With 3 hours travel time, that would leave 4 hours at the park. Should be enough time.
Canadian Tyler Posted October 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Xcaret is a big park with lots to see. I'd still recommend going, but I've heard most people say one day isn't enough time. Just a heads up. Have a great time! I loved it there.
Stevesan Posted October 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) Princess' shorex schedule travel time to and from Xcaret totals 3 hours. WRONG!!! I had a senior moment and confused Xcaret with Tulum. Xcaret is close to the Dock at Playa del Carmen. Total travel time, ferry and shuttle, is @ 2 hours. My humble apology. Enjoy! Xcaret is fun for adults and kids. http://www.xcaret.com/ Edited October 4, 2013 by Stevesan
micmacmissy Posted October 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2013 If you do go to Xcaret, bring biodegradable sunscreen with you. If you have to buy it there, it's really expensive! And you aren't allowed to use regular sunscreen!
Stevesan Posted October 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2013 If you do go to Xcaret, bring biodegradable sunscreen with you. If you have to buy it there, it's really expensive! And you aren't allowed to use regular sunscreen! The same rule applies to Cozumel water activities, too.

We have been to Xel-Ha and loved it, so I imagine Xcaret is very similar.
Boricuacruiser Posted November 11, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Hi! Going to Cozumel in January 8, 2014. Wondering if the water at Xcaret pools and beach will be too cold!
mccbeh Posted November 11, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 11, 2013 We loved Xcarat, however the 4 hours are not enough time to fully explore and enjoy the park...
