Upgrade Offer on Mariner this month

We are on the 7-day 10/24 cruise from Monte Carlo to Venice and got a call from our TA about discounted upgrades. We are on Bottom H level and thought about going up to Penthouse C class for $650pp. Also had Horizon suite for $700 pp. Saw that Horizons are aft cabins and thought rear engine vibes would be an issue as well as a bumpier ride.

 

Anyone have recommendations on which is the better deal? THANKS.

OMG snag it!!! Mariner does not have in Vibration issues .. These offers last about 5 min and then they move on to the next person on the list. Voyager is the ship that has the issues. We had a deck 7 Seven Seas Aft suite which was directly over Horizons and we never heard any noise or smelled any smoke and certainly had no vibration issues.

 

If you want to treat yourself I'd go for it!

Definitely go for it, though if you haven't said yes by now, it is probably gone.

I agree with Rachel and Nana. PH and horizon are wonderful on Mariner. Plenty of space and you will not be displeased with either choice. I personally think the Horizon suites are well worth the extra money.

Agree with everyone, Mariner PH's are wonderful and so large, with a large deck and those Horizon suites are my personal favorite although we have never had one, I would grab it for that price. Good luck.

Sure hope you have not waited too long to act on this offer and "missed the boat" !! I sure wish this was my most pressing concern and was planning on boarding Mariner in the near future!

Told my TA to go ahead and book either a Horizon first or Penthouse second. She called back this Am and said she booked a Horizon on Deck 9. So it is two decks below the pool and three decks above the dining rooms. Great location. The Upgrade Fairy was very kind to us. Thanks for all the recommendations.

We just got off the Mariner in Istanbul and took the upsell to Horizon suite. Take it...it's worth every penny. The cabin was so spacious! Our butler was Amit and he was wonderful. We felt no vibrations at all. We were on the 8th deck cabin 8102. I recommend the Horizon suite over the penthouse. Much larger with a wonderful large deck. Enjoy it! We had a great cruise. You're also getting a great deal. We paid $1200/person for upsell. It was worth it.
