My Very First Cruise ( My Photo Review aboard the Carnival Fantasy) Oct 1-6, 2013

I started with the chicken quesadilla....

 

 

That honestly tasted like a wrapped up piece of "oh helllll no"....UgH..it was just too many beans...and I dont like beans. The GF tastes it and goes " Oh...black beans...I like black beans!!".....then proceeded to work on her 56th bowl of fruit so far....

 

I had pictures of our entrees this night, I just dont know what happened to them:mad:...However, I did go off the DEEP END this night for some reason....

I did NOT get the WCMC...whaaa!?!?...I know...

 

I got this....

 

 

It was the warm date, cinnamon and fig cake with raisin fig ice cream and it was awesome...But before I knew it was awesome everyone at the table goes...."Whaa!?!?...No WCMC??...Youre gonna order that??...Dates?? Figs?? Ewww"......So my GF says...and I PROMISE you are NOT having dejavu...." None of this dessert looks good to me....Unless I have MORE FRUIT.....You want me to order a WCMC just in case you dont like it?"...So I said SURE...

 

 

That really wasnt necessary though because the Date cake was delicious..Try It if you get the chance...

 

We got back to the room and Fido was gone....I ran into this other towel dog in the casino and he said he ran off with some chick SMH...But this guy was there...

 

 

Freeport Day was awesome but now it was time to get ready for Nassau!!!!

 

Coming Up next....Nassau!!!!....Straw Market Adventures...and....Does a native Bahamian feel my frustrated American Fury!!!?!?:eek:........Stay Tuuunnnedddd....

I basically started a new job soon as I got back from the cruise and if I haven't mentioned it before I am a full time student getting my Accounting degree in December....SooO...umm...yea...hectic....Aww tooO bad Shy...now err...bruh...Did you win a ship on a stick or what???....

YuuuP...My big, grown, rusty @zz beat everybody on the ship naming Cartoon Characters, LoL....So...you know I was feeling so un manly so I made the GF break out her Gangster-est pose with me in celebration...

 

 

 

So Damn Gangsta....naming looney tunes lol

 

Anywhoooo...It was a fun time and I was happy to get my 24k Gold plastic Ship on a stick...We Left that Universe Lounge and headed to Celebration for anytime dining....

So Yea...Nassau day didnt start off well...For some reason beyond me, after eating good ALLL day and night...SOMEONE wants to order a shrimp salad sandwich from room service at 2 in the freaking morning. IdK what is wrong with me....The babe is in bed tipsy and almost sleep and I ask her if she wants anything?...." Yea...some chips"...Wth lol...You just do "cruise sh*#" when you on a cruise LoL...

 

So we both fall asleep like 20 seconds later and 20 minutes after that theres a knock on the door...I hop out the bed like someone bust in the door shooting and forget I took my pants off and almost gave Helga from Germany( they all put where they from on their name tags) a show she DEFINITELY never seen in Berlin lol...I give her a tip and now here I am...standing in front of the DAMN MIRROR...with no clothes on at 2am, eating a friggin' shrimp salad sandwich( cruise sh#%...we've all done it)

 

My GF MUSTVE forgot that she just as guilty as me putting in an order for potato chips because she jumps up frustratingly and glares at me from under the cover and hits me with the " OMG you have GOT TO BE kidding me...230AM DUDE??" Face........I just look back at her with a mouth full of shrimp and go..." They forgot your potato chips"...LMBOOOO..Cruise Sh!!!

 

By the time 8am rolled around that shrimp salad sandwich was Fighting Back lol...I did manage to get myself together and up to lido where Disney Magic was in dock with us...

 

 

And right beside her...Carnival Victory..

 

 

 

 

The Magic is HUUGE...and looks very nice.

 

After eating a quick breakfast up on lido we met up with the BeF and wife and headed off the ship....

 

 

 

Once off the ship in Nassau you head down the corridor between the ships and hang a right, where you make your way towards the entrance to the city.

Keep Straight...

 

 

 

And through this building where they check your id and Sign and Sail card etc...Then they welcome you to the city..

It is like a big flea market where everyone trying to sale you stuff and offer you excursions...just say no and keep it moving. They actually must dissuade the locals somewhat from being TOO pushy inside because once you clear this building and get into the open area ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE..

 

 

 

Once out you can only really go one way to get to the streets with the nicer shops and Senor Frogs and the beach etc...So be prepared to go through the guantlet. I know I kid alot but I am serious...stay with your group, keep it moving, give polite but firm "NO"'s to the pushy "salesmen" and get to where you are trying to go. I did not see anything crazy but some of these guys dont look too cool. Once you get past that little part though Nassau really opens up and becomes such a very nice experience.

We decided to make it over to Nassau's Junkanoo beach which everyone says is like a 15 minute walk from the ship. Not bad right?

 

 

Once through the "guantlet" you kind of make a u-turn and follow the street ahead. There are lots of cabs and horse drawn carriages lined up along the side of the road. I dont see the point in catching one of these unless you trying to go further into the island, just hoof it if you heading to Junkanoo.

 

 

 

 

 

Keep Straight for about a half mile at the most and you come up on the Straw Market....

 

 

 

One quick note about the Straw Market...if you are doing your souvenir shopping in Nassau, dont assume that is where you gonna get the best deals. We haggled and haggled our way with those ladies for a good 45 minutes, bought stuff, then ended up seeing our stuff for cheaper somewhere else with no haggle..UGH. Maybe your experience will be different.

 

 

 

Another note about the straw market...I think Satan teaches pilates or something in that mug...it is STEAMINNNNG in there. We was all sweating and fanning...Haggling and fanning....It dont have no A/C I know, but I think they like it like that...so you'll be like " I'll take the bag for $30 just let me out this bitch!!"

Did the Magic play their signature theme song when they docked? There was one that docked next to us when we were in Nassau and I guess that they had to announce "Hey we're here y'all" and my son went wild when he heard it. Made him that more convinced that he was going to sail a Disney cruise next year.

Funny story for all my Kevin Hart fans..."gym guy" was in the gym that morning while I was working out, and he was in rare form...BREATHING innnn and OUTTT...waving his arms and rolling his neck....Pacing...then back to the machine...sit down and roll his neck some more...put more weight on the machine...I'm like dang...look at dude chest yo...He bout to lift that mug...its gonna be great. So I watched and he Huffed and puffed some more...shook his arms and breathed INNNN....I'm on my little elliptical like "awww sh&@...its about to go down and its going to be E P I C"...he leans over...puts his head down and stands up....

 

He never lifted it...He never lifted the damn weight...I felt cheated. Who puts on a show like that on dont lift the damn weight...IdK....Idk whats going on anymore...
