We will be travelling on the Millenium next summer from Venice to Barcelona. We are considering trying to arrange our shore excursions independently

(we are 2 couples) of Celebrity. What are your experiences doing this and please give us any recommendations including how to contact your recommended independent drivers/guides. Ports of call include Rome, Naples, Athens, Florence, and the French Riviera area.
