National Cruise Vacation Week

Back in August, a TA was telling me that National Cruise Vacation Week is coming in October and that I might be able to find good deals. Then, I received a brochure in the mail from my travel agency and smack dab in the middle was an advertisement for this cruise week. Has anyone ever booked during cruise week? And, are the deals really that great or is it just an industry marketing tool to get people to book? I usually try to book Early Saver and have had nice price drops and OBCs so I’m wondering if this is something I want to look into further. I like cruising but love a great deal.

I booked for Sept 2014 under some Preview 2014 Deal.

Cove Balcony 619.00 a person, no OBC. This one is 100.00 higher but OBC offered.. Not much difference ;)

we booked our Feb 2014 cruise under one of the earlier past guest promos at $1367 for 3 people for 6M on the Magic. Same rooms for same sailing are now $1567 with $200.00 OBC. its a wash.

You can book it now and the price will be higher but you will receive an OBC so its a wash.Same bottom line price with a different name.
