I am looking at two different snorkeling trips in Belize next July. They are both the same price, and really I can’t see the difference in them. One is titled Sergeants Cay and the other is Snorkeling Wonders of the Barrier Reef. Any information on either one will be greatly appreciated. If there is a thread for one of these, please point me in that direction as well, I haven’t been able to find one.

Here is a quote from the most lovely and generous Cruzin-K, who posted about Water Caye (Barrier Reef Snorkeling and Island Beach Break) on the Princess thread. It picked up directly from the ship:

"The ride to the island took about 25 minutes or so. We went there first so people could pick up snorkel gear, then we got back on the same boat to the snorkel site which was about 8 minutes away.

The boat was terrible. It reminded me of a ship's tender where you are crammed inside the boat like sardines, with no way to see out (other than a few spaces at the very back). The first picture shows our boat, it's the one in front.

There were 55 people on the excursion and we all snorkeled in one big group. There was one guide in the water with us, and two more on Kayaks, to keep an eye on us and help out if someone got into trouble. We had about 45 minutes to snorkel, and that was more than enough because of the poor conditions.

There were chairs on the beach, and a few umbrellas and some trees to sit under on one side. We were there with a group from one (or both) of the Carnival ships, but there were enough chairs for everyone. It was very hot out in the sun.

Here are a few more pictures

Snorkeling Wonders of the Barrier Reef (with Carnival) goes to Rendezvous Caye. If you google it there are a couple youtube videos. I didn't find much information either, and apparantly there are 2 rendezvous cayes.

Carnival has review on the website, and i think RCL has reviews for this caye aswell.

I've been looking for info too but haven't found much.

We went on the snorkeling trip through Carnival that goes to Rendezvous Caye. It was wonderful! The snorkeling was not as good as Roatan, but we still saw lots of sea life. The guides were great, and the little island was very pretty. They divide you into three groups based on snorkeling experience. We would definitely do it again.
