  1. We're booked on the CB 7-day following the ABC cruise that was just cancelled. Not very hopeful now.
  2. Does anyone know if this still exists and whether it is open for visitors? Thank you!
  3. Glad to see your bump as we booked it for a short precruise stay in November. Looking forward to some responses.
  4. Can it be put in upside down, so the back shows in the opening instead of the front? Would that make a difference?
  5. I hope Laurie is having fun. We are having a hot spell, several days in the 90s and an afternoon shower here and there. Do a little work, do a little play. Maybe a swim, or read on the patio, or jetski. So nice. No plans to travel this summer though I may go see family in the fall. I just don't feel like flying at all, so we'll see.
  6. It appears that Forbes added this headline to an older article, so perhaps they will update with more news soon. I can't find coverage (yet?) from another news site, but hoping this is true.
  7. I posted this to the Princess boards when I first saw it, but I see now that the headline has changed but the article is old. I can't find another news source with this story (yet?), but perhaps Forbes will publish more info soon. Otherwise, I wonder where this came from. Great news if it holds up.
  8. Forbes is the only source I've found for this so far, but let's hope it's true. Exemption from FL vaccine passport law for cruise lines. https://www.forbes.com/sites/suzannerowankelleher/2021/05/30/florida-governor-ron-desantis-cruise-line-exemption-vaccine-passport-ban/
  9. As a newly minted 60yo I would love to read any tips or advice about traveling as we age. We are active people but even small discoveries like compression socks for flying have improved our travel experiences. Or how to deal with the unexpected, like when DH had motion sickness for the first time on a calm ship after years and years with no problem at all, even in the roughest seas. What about discounts or other perks? Knee friendly excursions? So many possibilities. I would totally be a lurker on a 70+ forum!
  10. Oh my gosh Laurie, I am in the exact same boat as you with the hair situation. I haven't posted about it because I am experimenting a bit. I love my auburn hair, but I have to touch up my roots every 3 weeks now -- so annoying -- and also I'm finding it a bit too colorful as I age. You know, you lose pigment as you get older, not just in hair but lips, eyes, skin. I don’t know that auburn is flattering any more instead of aging. It's starting to look too fake, kwim? Like you I have a muted brown mixed in with white. My gray hair is actually quite white. I first started thinking abo
  11. We have a wonderful catsitter who comes every day and stays long enough to play and cuddle. She also texts me wonderful photos of our Danica.
  12. So, a lot has been going on around here, all good thankfully. Now that DH and I are sharing the home office, sometimes I get kicked out for long periods of time. :) I finally got to scan the fashion photos I've been saving up this spring, and I have time to share some today! We just got back from a short trip to Pennsylvania for my birthday. We visited Gettysburg, Longwood Gardens, Valley Forge, had a day in Philadelphia, and a lovely dinner with friends whom we haven't seen since last summer. I even managed to squeeze in a bit of shopping. So, I have a trip report with photos to s
  13. The Harrier Jump Jet is my favorite plane. We have one here in NY on the Intrepid museum, when it arrived I was happy to see one IRL. My friends think it's funny that I have a favorite fighter jet (if you knew me you would know why). When my students would ask me what I'd be if I weren't a teacher, I'd say helicopter pilot. I have a boring handle, its just my initials. I wasn't very familiar with CC and it didn't occur to me to make up a fun one. I love how creative some people are with their CC names. Thanks for starting a fun thread!
