ginger123snaps Posted October 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2013 We have young kids and I have read that le gallion beach is best for that age group. We are on the norwegian epic and docking there from 8 to 6. I was hoping to take the boys to the beach to swim first and then head over to maho beach to watch the planes. Does anyone know what is the most efficient way to do this? How much would a taxi be from le gallion beach to maho? Trying to decide if we are better off renting a car. We are a family of 5. We are also open to riding the local bus.

#1TravelMom Posted October 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2013 Definitely rent a car. Coastal Car Rental is located right at the pier. They are very reasonably priced and have very nice vehicles. Plus - for just $5 extra, you can get a GPS with all the sights preprogrammed. Driving in St. Maarten is not difficult - we've done it many times. Le Galion is our favorite beach - hardly ever anyone there. Taxis will be very expensive.
