hebbie67 Posted October 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2013 We've booked a suite on MSC Lirica Deck 10 for next Feb but are a bit confused:confused: In the 2012/13 brocheur there are 104 Balcony Suites on Dec 10. In the 2013/14 brocheur there are 34 S3 Suites and 70 B2 Balcony suites on Deck 10. On the MSC website, there are now two deckplans: one until Summer 2013 (which shows the 104 Balcony suites) and one starting Winter 13/14 which shows 34 suites listed as Suites-Aurea. Can anyone enlighten us please?
Mrs Soap Posted October 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2013 Hi, We had the same queries. We are booked on the Preziosa for next may in what was called an aurea suite. It is now called an S3 cabin and although the new deck plan does not show it has a balcony- ie there is no symbol for balcony on the deck plan- I have rang msc and they responded to my question on this forum , they assure me there is a balcony. We are in 11009 , which is a corner suite and has a small balcony to the side. what is your cabin number as the suites at the front of the ship- only have panoramic windows - which is shown on the deck plan . Msc also said none of the cabins are now known as aurea suites. hope this helps
AmoMondo Posted October 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2013 They are changing the cBin categories and pricing structure. So the Lirica will still have the same number of suites with balconies (only the suites have a balcony on the Lirica) but some will have a different category. Since you are sailing in February 2014, please refer to the 2013/2014 brochure and deck plan. Hope this helps!
hebbie67 Posted October 15, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted October 15, 2013 Thanks for all the replies. Understand the change in classification taking place for the new season - but 13/14 brocheur says S3 and website deck plan starting 13/14 says Aurea - hence our confusion! MSC you're saying refer to 13/14 brocheur - so is website deck plan for 13/14 wrong?!

Here is the link to the MSC website page we've been looking at showing deck 10 suites as Aurea: http://www.msccruises.com/gl_en/Images/MSC_Lirica_DeckPlans_Corporate_tcm5-79668.pdf It really isn't a big deal to us - we were just confused and curious! Skier52 Posted October 15, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 15, 2013 Thank you - that's interesting. The Uk web site has the deck plan with the deck 12 and some deck 10 as S3, the same as the msccruiseusa web page. So that's 2:1 in favour of S3 over Aurea UK website deck plan http://www.msccruises.co.uk/uk_en/Images/Lirica_tcm13-86081.pdf Pete
