snorkeling

thinking about snorkeling with the kids 6/9 --- dont want to go to st georges --- looking for places close to the dock yard or horsehoe beach area -- read about church bay? can anyone suggest anyother places...

There's always Snorkel Park at Dockyard. Some snorkel at Horseshoe Beach but I've never found it good.

I would avoid Church Bay as it is, or can be, rough, not good for kids.

There's also Clearwater Beach but it's on the south eastern end and you may not want to go the whole over there.

what about coco reef hotel near elbow beach?

I think with kids that age your best bet is Snorkel Park. It's very calm there and you can also rent two person kayaks which is also a very nice thing to do with your kids. The kids will also have a blast on the water trampoline.

Agree 100% on the Snorkel Park right at the Dockyard if you have smaller kids. Safe, not choppy and there are plenty of fish to see.

 

I like Tobacco Bay as well, but it's a hike.
