Lvteks Posted October 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2013 Sorry if this has been covered, can't get Kindle to let me search. ??? Would this be a mistake w /o a car? Dining reviews are so-so. Walking is a problem. No port shuttle, but airport one provided. Any suggestions / experience appreciated. Blessings, Gail
mlmc424 Posted October 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2013 We have stayed there a couple of times but have always had a car and taken advantage of their parking package. There are no restaurants within easy walking distance and the hotel itself is set back pretty far from the main road. They have a restaurant on premises but we have only used them for breakfast - that was fine. We have taken their shuttle to the port - important to make appt. as soon as you check in. smcain Posted October 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2013 We've used this hotel a couple times. Aren't using for our upcoming cruise only because they don't have room for give guest in one suite. We have never had a car. We use SAS for transportation. Momof8plus! wrigley80 Posted October 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2013 In December we are staying at Sleep Inn and Suites in Dania Beach. They provide a shuttle from the airport to hotel and the hotel to cruise port. You may wanna look into this hotel Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free
cruisefan0110 Posted October 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2013 We stayed at Cambria for our last cruise and have already reserved for our next. We used their airport shuttle and it was fine. We used their shuttle back to the airport as we were using the cruiseline shuttle to Port of Miami. We will most likely use QLS this trip due to the many good reviews here on CC. As others have said, it is about a block back to the main street. My wife walked it as she needed to do some shopping for a needlework project to be done on the ship. We ate dinner at the hotel as we were in relax mode. Nothing great, but very acceptable.

Lvteks Posted October 19, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Really glad to hear from everyone. Wondering about shuttle to port. What is SAS etc.? Do hotel shuttles have a lot of problems? I will have a Rollator...folds but still bulky. Blessings, Gail
smcain Posted October 20, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2013 SAS is a transportation service. They have big vans. Most hotels don't provide it from FLL to Port of Miami. Momof8plus!
