chubbycheeks Posted July 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2005 I had originally asked a question about whether moving from Q class to L class on the EOS was good. I've been pondering a new question now as well....My assigned room is under the Windjammer. Has anyone else stayed in one of those rooms? Is it noisy? I know that there can be obvious benefits such as the short trip to the buffet or the pool area but will I be able to rest? The last time I was on the Explorer I was on the 3rd deck and had a hell of a time catching elevators to the higher decks. I definitely used the stairs for most of the lower floors. It did have it's benefits such as walking down one flight of stairs to get off the ship. What about the 10th deck? brandye3 Posted July 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2005 I am not sure about the windjammer but we stayed right under the fitness center and spa and never heard anything! When I was up there, there was plenty of dropping weights, etc. so I figured we would probably hear that-but we didn't! Hope you have a wonderful time
truffles2 Posted July 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2005 We were under the Windjammer on Grandeur and occasionally heard a little noise--but not enough to worry about. In fact, we have booked practically the same room on Vision for our next cruise.
DaveWA Posted July 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2005 We were under the Windjammer on the Radiance and the tile floors vs the wheels on the carts was a little irritating at 6 in the morning. I am a light sleeper and it had a tendancy to wake me up. It wasn't so loud that it was a nuisance if you were already awake. It makes a little difference if the floors in the Windjammer on the EOS are tiled above your cabin. If it's carpeted, you probably won't hear a thing. akh40 Posted July 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2005 We were directly under Windjammer seating on the Radiance (Deck 10 JS) and never heard a thing. Amanda:)
fflady Posted July 9, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2005 We were under the Windjammer on the Grandeur in May. Occasionally we heard the staff moving chairs around. Nothing major, though.
Joy ride Posted July 10, 2005 #7 Share Posted July 10, 2005 We have been under the windjammer before, was concerning for me at first, but we never heard a thing. Very convenient too:)
chubbycheeks Posted July 10, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Oh, I'm glad to hear all of this. I can be a light sleeper but since I usually keep going until I drop when I'm cruising...I should be ok. Thanks for the info. :)
