Checking in at Southampton

We are taking our first cruise next year and was wondering what time we should get to the port we are sailing from Southampton I noticed on doing the on line check in they ask what time you are arriving we are staying in Southampton the night before

Also if we say a time can we be earlier than that hope that all makes some sense.

Our check-in for the Queen Elizabeth started around 10:30 or 11 am we were aboard by around 11:30 am.

Princess usually begins check in about 1030 and boarding about 1130. But the time can vary from line to line. Which line are you cruising with?

Most of the lines are the same. The key is to get there early, beat the rush and you'll be aboard by 11:30 am and heading up to the Windjammer for lunch.

Generally from around 11.30 for RCI, though I think they quote from noon.

Avoid the coaches from airports, which arrive broadly 1pm to 2pm.
