As most are aware Galveston has yet to secure a car rental company that opens on Sunday.

However there is a car rental station open on Sunday's in Texas City.

I'm just wondering if anyone has used them? How was it? How did you get from the cruise terminal to the car rental? They car company is offering me a $50 shuttle.

I am wondering the same! I have booked a car for our spring break cruise on the Magic. Was your shuttle 50.00 each way? Budget? I called a taxi company and they quoted about 40.00$$ from Texas City to the port. Definitely way more expensive and difficult to get a ride in Texas than Florida!!

I know this is an older post but I was hoping for some updated info.

Looking at dropping of our rental car at the Budget office in Texas City. Trying to find cost effective way to the port of Galveston.

Are there any hotels in Texas City that offer shuttle service (free or for a fee)?

Thanks for your help.

Gina
