cruisesusie Posted July 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Does anyone know what time they have muster for a 10 pm embarkation? We're trying to decide on a time for our Cruise Critic get-together. The ship is the Grand - sailing from Barcelona. Thanks, Susan
coiran Posted July 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2005 The muster drill usually takes place about an hour before sailaway. Ron
cruisesusie Posted July 10, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Ron - Thanks for your reply. Wouldn't that interfere with late seating for dinner? Susan
mycruz Posted July 10, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Were have just returned from a Baltic cruise with a 9pm sailing time. Our muster drill was at 5pm. I had also assumed it would be closer to sailing time. Those that had not boarded by the time of the muster drill attended the first morning after departure. Druke I Posted July 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Often held the next day - international treaties require that it be held within 24hrs of departure.
coiran Posted July 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Sorry, I mistook your original post to say that your embarkation was at 10 - not the sailing. If the sailing is at 10 the muster drill will probably be the next day. Ron
