still doing homework!!! :rolleyes: i've been on several carnival ships and enjoyed my lido balcony tremendously, however, the magic is a challenge! :(

We just got back on 10-27-13. We booked a Spa room and it was great. Howerver food in the Lido at nights were not really good. Several nights the soups were the best thing being offered. So bowl of soup w/ bread and cheese for dinner. Oh well, I was away from work.

Personally I like being near the lido deck. Close to the action, buffet, bars and kids club. We had a lido balcony, deck 9 mid ship on the Magic last year and it was great location.

 

The Magic is a beautiful ship, good luck making your decision!

Also, do you smoke? Smoking is NOT allowed on any spa balconies. (It is allowed on other balconies though.) We might try one of these next time. But I am excited to try the cove as well. :)

I picked the Lido deck, forward, so hopefully we can see down into the water without the Promenade getting in the way. Be there in 3 days! :D

We were in a balcony cabin on the Magic this past February (8305). We had 4 balcony cabins in a row in our group. We loved the location. We had decks with rooms above and below us and had no problems with any noise. There was a hot tub on deck 5 a couple of cabins over from our room but we never heard noise from it and it was not a bother at all. I would not hesitate to book this room again.

Yes, smoking is allowed on all balconies except the spa stateroom balconies.

 

We head out on the Magic in just a few weeks- I am so excited!!:)
