dongordon Posted October 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Some time ago, there was word going around that NCL was eliminating Wine Packages onboard their ships, including the Breakaway. Many had said that it was still available and the rumor was false. Has anyone recently been on the Breakaway and purchesed the various wine packages providing discounts on mutiple purchase of bottles of wine? Thanks. meatball_nyc Posted October 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2013 I spoke to my PCC about a week ago to inquire about the Viva Vino package and it is still available. We're booked on the Breakaway this summer, and my first time With NCL. ~robin & Brian
ibcnusoon Posted November 1, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2013 I called NCL the other day because we leave Sunday and I wanted to know if it was still available. The rep told me that it was still available and I would have to go to guest relations on the first or second day to sign up. Fingers crossed that this is true, otherwise we'll be bringing some bottles on board once we reach Port Canaveral. :p

rvsullivan Posted November 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2013 Almost always it's a table in the Atrium or nearby. Will be very easy to find on boarding.
karoo Posted November 1, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 1, 2013 Did you have to go to guest services to sign up or was there a table somewhere? I'm trying to remember exactly where I signed up for it. I think there was a table near the entrance to the Garden buffet or maybe that was on the Epic in July. I'm sure if you ask at one of the bars they will tell you or have the forms for you to sign. I usually ask once I'm onboard. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

The wine package was available every day of the cruise, not just the first or second day. I would imagine the same would be true of Breakaway but don't know that for sure. It seems like the same policy would apply fleet-wide.

webbersworld Posted February 18, 2014 #10 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Is the wine package worth it? Is there a cost savings vs buying individually?
