nancyb715 Posted November 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2013 We'll be in Belize next week for a day and looking to snorkel. A lot of the options from the cruise line and island marketing snorkel are off boats and then you spend "beach time" somewhere. We live in Florida and neither my husband and I like just sitting on the beach. Does anyone know of any excursions that you can snorkel leisurely on your own? Last time we booked through the ship and people were all over each other, the second time we went to Belize, we did the cave tubing.....so back to snorkeling. Any suggestions? Will in sunny FL Posted November 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2013 Look up Island Marketing who offers a trip to Goff Caye which is not really snorkeling on your own, probably for safety reasons. But it is a very nice snorkeling trip including rum punch for free. If you will be stopping in Roatan, get to Taybana Beach for all day snorkeling on your own & we do the ships tour here as it gets you to & from that beach without the long walk to get to the outside tour vendors. OCruisers Posted November 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2013 Have you tried taking a boat/cat tour to the Barrier Reef which is the 2nd largest in the world? It's awesome and so worth the effort. :) LuLu ~~~~
nancyb715 Posted November 2, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted November 2, 2013 Yes, we've snorkeled on the reef, BEAutiful, before but it was so crowded! Everyone kicking everyone, crazy big group from the ship. I'll check out some of the private excursion tours as suggested.
