Good place for breakfast and dinner in Amsterdam?

Can someone recommend a good place to have breakfast near Central Station area (more than coffee and rolls) and a nice place for dinner either in that area or not too far ( nice but not too $$$)?

There are many places to have breakfast, think about the various hotels around Central Station. There are also Restaurants on "Damrak" the street between Central Station and Dam square which are open for breakfast.

Hotel de Rode leeuw -opposite the big store "Bijenkorf" and Hotel Victoria -opposite the station - have a nice terrace with streetview, great place to sit and watch people walk by.

 

Around Rembrandtsplein there is a big variety in Restaurants for dinner,you have chinese, indonesian, italian etc.,

 

There is a real big choice, often you will find menus and prices near the entrance.,
