Port Canaveral Parking

We will sailing the Carnival Sensation on 12/22/13. Will I need to reserve parking early (now)?

Or, is there enough parking available so I can drive in the day of and still find plentiful parking?

 

Our hotel is two hours away so hotel parking is not an option.

Port has "a problem" of too many empty parking places sitting empty due to the many options off site (5 min away) for significantly less $.

 

Their site encourages you to make a pre-paid reservation ... once you do that you are no longer tempted by the signs you see approaching the port for much cheaper parking.

We drove to Port Canaveral in 2011 and had absolutely no issues getting a spot. I think if you get there early enough(around 12) you should have no problems at this port.
