ptcgal Posted November 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2013 I saw that the Serenade of the seas had single supplements of less than 125% on several cruises thru 2015. Tried false single booking for Mar 2015 and it gave me an SI interior cabin for 120%. SI - Single Interior. I didn't know RCCI had single cabins. Anyone ever stay in one and how big are they? Only four of them on this ship.
xxHadleyxx Posted November 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2013 It is a pretty decent size--I would be comfortable in it. There are two photos of it (room and bathroom) that I took on our cabin crawl on the Oct 22 cruise in my blog post here: http://hadleyswanderingsandramblings.blogspot.de/2013/11/photos-of-staterooms-on-serenade-of.html
ptcgal Posted November 8, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 8, 2013 Thanks so much. Great photos! It looks like a good space for one person. I bet you don't get double C&R points though but the lower supplement makes up for that.

Time will tell how RCI will handle this policy, but the way I read it, Singles will get the double.

In the member benefits it says that SI studio interiors and SB studio balcony are excluded from the extra point One Cruise Point for each completed night of sailing and an extra Cruise Point per night when you purchase and sail in suite accommodations (categories RL, RS, PS, SL, TS, A1, A2, A3, CL, OS, FS, GS, JS) and/or sail in any category and pay a single pricing type for double occupancy staterooms. All other rates including Travel Agent rates, as well category SI and SB, are excluded from single price type extra point promotion. Cruisetours are included as an additional night per each day on the cruise tour. Points will be awarded by rate paid not rate berthed, for example, in the instance of an upgrade from an outside to a suite category.
