Punta Langosta and Playa Azul

We are docking at the downtown pier 10am - 11pm. Interested in reviews for Playa Azul as it is a bit closer than the southern beaches and most likely less crowded. Just looking for a place to relax and maybe snorkel without spending a ton of $.

 

Also, any idea what to do at the pier area? Not interested in restaurants or tons of shopping. Any museums nice churches, etc?

The Museum of the Island of Cozumel is just a little bit north on the main ocean street from the main square. It's 1-2 hours worth of time exploring it. Be a fun thing to rent bicycle and peddle up to it, and afterwards keep going north as far as you're adverntruous to do.

I think we will check out the museum in the afternoon. Thanks for the suggestion. In the morning we thought Playa Azul would be nice for a few hours as they do not charge a fee. Just have to buy food and/or drinks.
